A payment gateway provides a means of processing payments for items sold, like registrations and products. Active Calendar Supports receiving payments for events using a PayPal account.


Active Data Billing Agreement

Prior to being able to sell items and registrations using Active Calendar you will be required to accept our billing agreement.

To accept the Billing agreement:

  1. Click the Check box, "I agree".


    • Once you have accepted the agreement you will be directed to PayPal, to authorize your Account to be used with Active Calendar.


    • On this window you can create a new account, or sign in with your existing PayPal Account.


  2. Click "Agree and Continue"

You will then be redirected to the Payment Gateway Configuration Screen. A new section, "PayPal Configuration" will be displayed.

PayPal Configuration

Here, you will store your PayPal account information, to be used for receiving payments for the items and registrations that you sell using Active Calendar.


Account Username: Provide your username, (typically your email address used to log into your PayPal account).


Api Username: Required to complete a transaction on your calendar site, click, "Look up from PayPal" to retrieve your API Username.


Api Password: Required to complete a transaction on your calendar site, click, "Look up from PayPal" to retrieve your API Password.


Api Signature: Required to complete a transaction on your calendar site, click, "Look up from PayPal" to retrieve your API Signatures.

  • Click Clear to remove your acceptance of Active Data's Billing Agreement. Selecting this link will prevent you from collecting revenue from registrations and purchases. Users on your site will be unable to complete registration, or purchase items that have a cost associated with them.

  • Click Look up from PayPal to open a new window with the following information about your PayPal account: Api Username, Api Password, Api Signature.

  • Click Save to save your changes and return to the Site Settings page.

  • Click Cancel to discard any changes and return to the Site Settings page.
